Smoked fish what can i do with it?

it would work the way you describe - poaching in milk will make it a bit less 'smoked' - but smoked cod isn't as strong as other smoked fish. hope you like it0

This is a good fish pie recipe. Must make another one soon.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Wrap in foil with milk and butter with grated black peppercorns over the top. Bake as normal.
Serve with the liquid poured over the top and with lots of bread and butter to mop up all the juices
Lovely. I prefer smoked haddock tbh but cod will do.

SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
I would make fish pie or fishcakes
Both are really tasty and make the fish go a long way. Kids tend to like stuff like this too
Best Wishes

While I've not been looking he's got 2 large pieces of smoked cod from the deli counter that need using up today!!
I'd pass the fish to DH and he could decide how to cook it
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread on smoked fish to give him more ideas

Thanks all xx
Would have gladly let the OH cook it but due to the broken leg it means he now has a legitimate excuse for not cooking!! (grrrr!!)
I poached half in milk and made a fishy pie for the girlys, and did the foil wrapped peppercorn idea from Sunnyday! Both came out lovely (and only used the one piece!)
So piece number 2 has gone in the freezer for family fish pie next week!
