I'm looking at doing Usborne again, but have some questions. The team leader that covers my area is very pushy and overbearing, I find her very difficult to work with, would I get the choice of team leaders? Last time I sent a message via contact us on the site (2004) they passed all my details on to her and shes only just given up hassling me, I dont want that to kick off again! Also, I know and visit lots of toddler groups etc, but this team leader forbids that you do schools, nurseries, toddler groups etc, saying that only she is allowed to, as team leader, is that correct?? I'm about to go self employed and thought this might be quite nice as an aside, but now I'm worried it might just be a can of worms!

    Hi

If you contact head office they will assign you a team leader, if you know another organiser then you can join through them. They don't have to live near to you, my team leader lives away from me and my team are all over the uk.

Your ex-team leader is wrong in saying only she can do the nurseries and schools, that is appalling behaviour!!! Schools used to be allocated but now you are allowed to contact anyone that you like. Pm me if you want any more advice/help

  • omg I cant believe she said who you can and cant approach that is terrible. As a Team Leader you are there to support your team not dictate to them. I make a point of not being pushy with my team and they know they can contact me at any time. Its about getting the right balance and support.

As Usborne is your business its your own decision who you feel comfortable approaching and showing the books too.

When I started Usborne 18 months ago I ' found ' my own Team Leader on the internet and after emailing her about 1001 questions I felt I was happy to join under her.

Best of luck if you decide to go for it

    Hi all

I've just joined Usborne yesterday, as it is on sale at the mo, so am awaiting my kit. I was thinking of ways to boost my income as well as getting out of the house and thought this would be a great way of meeting new people, as I'm a mum of 2 in a new area. I hope it works, some people seem to love it. I just think that at the end of the day, if I don't enjoy it then as long as I spend the £100 my sons will be spoilt for books for a while, as well as that will be all the presents for young kids sorted for the next year lol!

You will find its a great way of making new friends and making money at the same time !! I am sure it will work out for you as you sound really motivated plus you have joined at a great time as the kit price is so low.

And dont forget the £100 order you have to place within 12 weeks you will also get commission on this.

    Best of luck
