I won but wheres my prize?

I dont know if this is the right place to post, but I won a Nintendo DS and game off a seemingly reputable website (part of a large media group) back at the end of October.

I was informed in the winners e-mail that my prize should be delivered within 28 days, but if not I was asked to contact the promoter by e-mail. I have done this and had no response, so contacted the website directly (by e-mail)who just sent this on to the promoter and copied me in.

I have heard anything since the start of December - does anyone have any advice or do I just put it down to experience and forget about it?

I wouldn't mind but its the first thing of note I have ever won!!:mad:

Do they have a phone number in the email? Phoning might be an option if they have.
Sorry not more help, never had a prize (that I know about!) not turn up, so hopefully someone else who has had the problem will be along to help a lot more.

But yes, it's a 'decent amount of money' prize that you won fair & square so deserve to get.

Do not forget about it- keep contacting them until they pay attention. Sometimes companies have a lot to deal with, especially at Christmas, and people get lost in the system, so give 'em another nudge.:)

yes i would phone - maybe they are having a problem getting a DS??!! but they could let you know.

I waited 6 months for an Ipod from More magazine (which i only discovered i'd won via googling my name!) - they put the delay down to a change in staff. I found their number on the website and at one point i was ringing once a month but it was worth hassling them for! got there in the end!

I struggled getting a prize last year, but after quite a few emails I eventually (after about 8 months!) received my prize. I was emailing the competitions editor of the magazine, and I started emailing her about once a month, then once a fortnight, eventually this way she got it chased up and I received the prize just in time to buy christmas presents!

I had a prize that took ages to arrive, I emailed lots until it arrived. I would keep on to them until you get your DS

Thanks to everyone for your advice - I called the website and eventually got through to a Manager who has advised me they will speak to the promoter and come back to me.
