Oops sorry I misread your question, I'm using Windows XP Professional (32-bit) Service Pack 2 with all the latest updates.

on the w880i i think its the 2&5 keys you have to press as the C key turns the w880i on

EDIT: it is the 2&5 keys and xs++ 3.1 is the latest version

If the computer isn't recognising the phone are you sure you installed the correct drivers and followed the instructions to the letter, my computer recognises my phone as a 'semc flash device'. I flashed mine today (w580) to debrand from 02, all went fine but I used setools not xs++

I found a site with all the firmwares, however after registering it wants me to pay to access the download area.

Also I'm not sure which firmware I should be getting.. I need R8BA024 Red, but which one..? generic?

I found the firmware and I've debranded the phone.. thanks all! Just need some of those "flash menus" now I think..

thats good to hear!

afaik flash menus go in tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash. you need to make sure that you get 240*320 menus and edit the theme file to display the flash menu (guide). when it says to add the following line, just replace orbit.swf with the name of your flash menu

<Desktop_style Type="File" Source="orbit.swf"/>.

to upload the flash menus, connect the phone to XS++ and click FSX. navigate to the folder that i said above and copy the flash menus into that directory.
