Coul not believe this to be true when my friend told me she had managed to get £100 voucher to use to buy a new mobile phone even though she only operates a pay as you go tariff.

Ring customer care and say that you need a new mobile phone and as a loyal ? customer on the pay as you go tariff could they send you a voucher for a new phone.

I have just successfully tried it. I think it does depend how long you have been with them and how much you spend on top ups. BUT it has got to be worth a try.

My friend even bought a new phone with the £100 voucher took it back after 2 weeks because she could not get on with the new one and exchanget it for 1 which only cost £60 and got £40 worth of Tesco vouchers to make up the difference:rotfl:

I tried and the most they would offer is £10 on a new phone. They said that for any more than that, customers must be on a regular top up. I'm not but have run up large roaming bills several times a year and have been with them since the demise of EasyM, so am not too chuffed and am eyeing Simplicity, esp as (unless have read it wrong??) it seems that O2 to O2 calls would be free.
  • I used to work for Tesco Mobile, There isnt a catch to these upgrade vouchers. It is just dependant on how much you have topped up your phone, no matter how long you have had your account, if you dont top up much then there will probably be no vouchers available to you, but if you top up a lot, well Just ring customer care and ask if you are entitled to upgrade vouchers, they will look at your account and if you are entitled, they will send the vouchers to use in store or they will send youa code in a text message and you can buy online at Tesco Mobile. They dont shout about this offer unless you say you are thinking to leave the network or port your number to another network.

Good Luck everyone, ring and see if you are entitled to a voucher....

I was just messing about with my favourite numbers settings on the tesco website and noticed an option to tick for discount vouchers so I clicked on it and was told I was entitled to have £30 of vouchers sent to me.

Ideal as my phone broke a few weeks ago and im back using an ancient one at the moment. :)

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to send them out?
