We have a giant lego brick money box I got for OH a couple of years ago where 1ps, 2ps and 5ps and then a giant computer key money box which I got OH a couple of years before that also for Christmas where we put 10ps and 20ps (don't always put these in just if we have a purse/pocket full). This all gets bagged up and put into our holiday fund.
Then I have a plastic pot that a cosmetic set came in where I put my olympic challenge money before it's paid in - perhaps I should get a money box for this.
And finally a big pig that sister in law bought us for Christmas last year where I put money I've found in the street etc etc. and empty it at the end of each olympic challenge. Doesn't ever get very full but then there's plenty of space and no temptation to open it.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I've got a massive glass jar with a screw on plastic top (with a handle strangely) that I got from the 99p shop...
I'm going to get a few more...they are a bargin! I got one for my little brother's girlfriend and filled it up with marshmellows (also from the 99p shop) for one of her Christmas Presents!
Also, the 99p store has lovely glass bottles with a cork in the top. last summer, my mum bought 10 of them, some olive oil (very large bottle from 99p store also) and put the oil and small chillies in each and sold them for 4.00 each at her local farmer's market. Nice little profit!
Sorry, bit off topic there!

Well, where do I start!
Please bear in mind I did throw every bit of changeout of my purse every Sunday night, so I did have *some* change for the week hehe.
A 'shoe account' silver money box from Next (Xmas '06 pressie): 50ps
A white piggy bank (donkeys years old): coppers
A tiny pink pig (Xmas pressie '05): £2
A Percy Pig giant pig pink piggy bank (OH bought it for me in sales this year from M&S) £1
A Dr Who Tardis money bank (with sound effects heheh), Birthday present '06: 20p, 10p & 5p.
Yes I have a lot of money banks, and the good thing at the moment is they're all in England so I can't touch them!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

I use empty foodstuff jars (washed and labels removed) because they are free (well, the food costs, but you know what I mean). I take off the screwtop to put in the money - but you could make coin slots
Then we bag the money and take to the bank - never using the coinstar machines at the supermarket that charge a commission0
