    Just seal a box with 10000000000000 layers of sellotape and save all those pennies you would have spent on a money box !!!!

    HOw many pennies would you have to spend on all that sellotape though :confused: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    giant whiskey bottle ("borrowed" from my dad many moons ago!) for all small change under 20p and pink ceramic 'princess' pig that I bought for a fiver years ago which holds over £100 in £1/£2 coins. i love when it gets heavy cos I know there is lots of money in it. I save my £1/£2 for holiday spending money

    I use an old large coffee jar and I glued the lid to the bottle and managed to 'chip' a slit in the lid large enough to take 50ps and £2 coins. Saving money for holiday at the end of the year :j:j

    I've got a terrimundi - hardly used at the mo cause I don't want to fill it and then break it! Also got a ceramic rat money box (cartoon character) and a yellow tin 'dustbin' (size of a baked bean can).
  • Cool, these are good ideas. I have a a sweet wee 'bang on the door' one that my brother gave me a few years ago; it's not really my style but as he gave it to me I can't get rid of it!

    In fact, I'll maybe do a spot of change counting just now; just to pass the time... :)

  • I have
    * a sealed tin ( double teh size of a normal baked bean tin) for my 5p's, it has a cow on it and can only be opened with a tin opener. From a £1 shop (have some spare).
    * a campervan, holds my 1p's & 2p's. Brought from freespirit.
    * a pot belly penguin, holds anything not spent in the weekly challenge. Was an xmas gift this year.
    * a tiny pink pig, holds nothing. Purchased in error (because of size) on ebay.
    * my terr, holds £1 & £2. Purchased on ebay.
