A holiday on behalf of Club La Costa

Gutted,
Wife and i got so excited by the first call won a holiday 7 nights etc etc. rung the free phone number and listened to stuff.
I have read loads of posts now and am very dissapointed now.
They offered for us to go to London presentation sat. morning and then stay in 4* hotel for the night (Granges chain) and a meal in top restaurant with bottle of wine.
I think it is worth going for this listen to the spiel take the night in London go home. I know its a few hours of hard sell but worth it for a free night out.
What do you think?
Target for 12 months TV - Console - Holiday (not necessarily in that order:rolleyes: )

Personally I wouldn't, to me there is no such thing as a free lunch and all that. There are so many posts about that company on here, none good! But I hope you have a real win soon.

    too many comps..not enough time!

ok well against everyones better judgement i went for it, we got details of meal beforehand so looked it up on the net and the same with the hotel. It was all in London and all free.
We arrived at 11.00 and were introduced to our guide. She was really nice and just chatted to us about our family, where we holiday etc. Then we talked about the resorts and RCI and watched a couple of videos about the same thing. A manager would come over a couple of times to talk about the finer details how much, weeks when and how. The final time he came over he went through the cost he then asked if we could pay the £100 deposit there and then when we said No he said fine thanks very much we wont waste your time they then gave us our stamped meal and hotel vouchers and that was it. It took just over 2 hours and we had the rest of the day. We were booked into a suite in The Portland one of the Grange range of hotels and had a 3 course meal and bottle of wine at Bertorelli.
I think as long as you go in there with an open mind and relax it goes quickly. We didnt have to sign anything or give any cards and no we didnt sign up for one just giving everyone and honest opinion

Well, Thank you because it's nice to get the honest opinion from someone who isn't a newbie to the site (and probably representing club la costa) :D

For me I wouldn't do it, but I guess if the meal & hotel was good .... :T

Congrats on 'winning' a 3 course meal & a night in a good hotel! :)

I am so easily talked into things *thinks back to when she used to watch QVC & buy stuff she'd never use ever again* that I wouldn't like to attend one of those meetings in case I got carried away! I can be quite excitable at times :rotfl:
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
