What would you do differently Xmas 2008?

I thought a list here may act as a reminder for me for Christmas.....
Two things I wished I had done this year and plan to do next:
1) buy disposable roasting trays (anyone else still suffering from christmas washing-uppatitis?)
2) buy a sellotape dispenser to avoid ripping tape with my lips and ripping lips with the tape:)
and another..
3) buy more ready made stuff as meals were a lot less planned for and more impromptu than I expected
Anyone any more?

...remember to serve the stuffing at the start of the meal rather than leave it in the kitchen until meal nearly over!butterfly )i(0

i would get well organized like I was 2007, but I will get the flu jab as i ended up spending all of the holidaysill in bed flu.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Hi, remember to actually cook the stuffing, it was only after I'd finished eating that I realised.0

I'd stay in this country!
As much as my little break with the outlaws was really nice I really missed my family, the traditional English Christmas dinner with all it's trimmings and the fact they don't have Christmas crackers, Christmas pudding or mince pies in Germany. They also open pressies on Christmas eve.
And I hate marizipan. Really really hate the stuff. I don't ever want to see the stuff again - it was in everything sweet out there:rotfl:

I'll either go to Goa , or if i stay here i'll be spending the day in a more relaxed atmosphere than I did this xmas:rolleyes: "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Two areas I need to do very differently
No. 1: spend much less - so taking advice from this website and have snapped up some bargains for next year already and thanks to mazza am saving a £1 a day aswell which I've not missed.
No. 2: not cook mountains of food that just gets thrown away, I've spoke of this before so I'll use it as a reminder for this year.0 -
Buy less 'special' foodstuffs.
We didn't buy much, but we seem to have a few things that keep getting rejected when we hit a 'what do we fancy eating' moment (ritz biscuits and shortbread to name two - both of which were begged for before Christmas).
But at the same time - buy more Mint Viscount biscuits - for the second year running, I bought two packs, and didn't see a bite.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
I'll be avoiding Christmas as much as possible.0
