I've just been reading your thread MissShoes and can see you've been on a roller coaster of a ride over the last year. You've done so well. I'm sure it's much harder to live the DFW style when you're single and in your 20's! So take all the credit you're due. You're certainly well on your way.

What happened to the friend who was going to move in at the end of Feb? Did she change her mind? Is the debt to the builder for a partition? And what was the payday loan for? Sorry, so many questions and we've only just met! Feel free to ignore any or all of the above.

Hi Misselvis- love your name! I'm spreading the word and holding out hope that someone lovely takes the room. I underestimated the bills so it's going to be 400pcm all inclusive except calls and I'm worried that price will put someone off.

    Evening MissS
I thought that somewhere in your thread you'd mentioned how much you thought a room round your way would cost per month - but can't find it. Is £400 about the right price? If its lots less than similar rooms you might get a lodger quicker, of course.. but if its lots more then it could be a problem.
Does anyone at work need a room, or is there somewhere there to advertise? How about a student - Hypno06 refers to her student and may be able to offer some words of experience/advice?

I had the conversation about the extra job today, and got them to agree 1 day/week, until the end of July. :j She did say that there is an awful lot of anxiety in the staff around the changes that are coming, and when I think about the actual work, trying to do a full-time management job, in a time of change, in 1 day/week... I feel quite worried, as I know I'm just keeping a lid on things. However, as was pointed out, its for a short time (17 weeks max) and the money will bring our debt free date forward by 2 or 3 months... we might be debt free as early as May 2010! I need to look at the money, and think about the summer - and just make sure I agree a really clear workplan and targets that are managable in so few hours.
Hope everyone has a good evening.

Have you tried the free cinema tickets on this thread? I've been keeping an eye on it as I'd love to go and see 'The Reader' and a couple of other things, and going out currently has a budget of £0. I managed to get tickets to Marley and me for the weekend - ok, not everyone's cup of tea - but its free and out... I'm really looking forward to it!

    Cheers

    Enjoy it!
But its good you are aware of potential problems so you can keep a handle on it.
Was it you who was looking for a lodger?
If you are in London or thereabouts there is a thread of someone looking for temp accom for a few months.
