Hi everyone not sure i have posted this in the right section but here goes, I was browsing a few websites over the weekend as i was looking for a gift for my partner i only ever pay by cheque as i dont wish to use my card online. I went and added a item to the basket and went to check out and then typed in all my details then realised there was no option to pay by cheque( got it confused with another website) so i pressed the cancel button.
so i decided to contact them via email and ask if they would accept cheque by payment. This morning to my surprise i had a email thanking me for my order asking for payment of the goods i had ordered online and a address to send the cheque to. i sent a email back saying i no longer wished to purchase the product. (as i had ordered from another website)
My question is do i need to send them a written letter cancelling a order i didnt even order in the first place
There website states all orders must be cancelled in writing or should i just ignore it as i have not paid for anything?

Just email them to say you want to cancel the order, that should be fine..
