  • I had a feeling that would be the case Highland_Lass, and I will be darmned if I am going to spend at least £7 in taxis to go out to the Retail Park to find them! *Although I like the Retail Park Boots better, especially as it is sandwich-friendly! lol*

Feeling very sorry for myself. Went to Boots today with my Advantage card, all ready to claim my 100 points Mediteranean voucher.....but, no voucher! I ended up paying full price (mad, I know!) for Jean Paul Gaultier D'Ete and got the £5 gift voucher, which I promptly used to buy some Botanics 3 for 2s.

Has anyone had this happen (ie not getting the same special offer from the Advantage Card machine as everyone else) and then maybe tried the next day and been successful? If I thought there was any chance then I would try again later in the week, but it's not easy for me to get out and about, so I don't want a wasted trip.

This might have been a glitch, but first time I put my card in the machine today I got very few offers, no mediterranean voucher and a 200 points for £20 spend. Took it out and stuck it back in again and got lots more offers, including the mediterranean and the total spend offer had changed to 100 points for a £10 spend. Very odd
  • Tried this yesterday. I bought 4 of the bags at 49p each but only got 100 extra points Still they were on buy one get one free so i still managed to get paid a few pence to take them away :)

the glitch was that the first time the Advantage Card's MARS facility ("MSE'er Advanced Recognition System - Oh gawd, not one of them again, brace yerself chaps)" was working far too well :rotfl:

I bought some bags yesterday at 32p each and handed one voucher over and I got 100 points for each bag.The bags scanned at 49p each when I asked her for a price check but I was paying she said they are only 32p now..She was puzzled to why I got so many points though.I had to explain to her that the bags were the Mediteranean range that's why I got the points. She was saying how cheap the bags were for birthday/christmas gifts.I am sure she will be clearing the shelf next time I am in there won't be any left. This was a smaller branch of boots. It's probably better in a larger branch then they don't know what every offer is in the store...Thanks for the post though..

Ive had a look in my local boots where the machine is not offering the points on med range but i had a look on the shelves anyway, i managed to find the range and was scouring the shelves for the bags but couldn't find anything that i would call a bag.
Can someone please clarify exactly what i am looking for, is it a gift set of products or a paper gift bag?
also the actual products were full price on all the range, are these produdcts priced in error? should they be discounted?

The bag is pink with an orchid on the front...It has pink handles and attached to it it has a bag of tissue paper for wrapping and also a gift label..The size is 11inch (28cm) in length...so not a bad size..The bag I got had not price on the shelf but I recognised it and asked for a price check...They scan at 49p but then when the sale goes through they are 32p.The bag has a code on the bag saying"ORCHID" gift bag...Hope this helps

ahhhh yes it makes purfect sense now, sorry another question, which section did you find your bags in boots? it sounds like the sort of hanging display rather than a shelf display i think someone else said theres was well away from the med shelf range
