Welcome to the club Round - I'm loving it!
THE FLAT IS CLEAN - though I suppose the woodwork could do with a wash down but it hadn't been cleaned before they moved in. There is a little mould on 2 outside walls but, given they had a leaking ceiling (which, some of you may recall, actually fell in last December) think it's a miracle there is as little mould as there is! Given they've lived there for a few years the walls could do with repainting anyway, and the carpet in the second bedroom should also have been replaced before they moved in - there is an iron mark on it and bare patches on some edges, which I rather suspect could have been cause by woolly bears.
I am binning stuff, recycling stuff and I have offered bags of bubble wrap on facebook. The bought cardboard boxes are being cleared of tape and are going back in their box and they will go in my loft for when we have to clear the aged Ps or someone else moves.
I do need to go back, probaly tomorrow, as I couldn't get everything in my car today and my vacuum cleaner is there, as is my mop.
I had washing on the line so that has been brought in.
No premium bond win here.

Congratulations roundtuit I too am 'gainfully unemployed and happy to be so' - love that phrase I think I'll steal it :).
Thank you muchly ionafan, we actually have the sofa on interest free credit. Not MSE I know, but they wouldn't give me a discount for paying in full so I took their 0% offer and am paying back at what seems like 2p a week. I don't really like having the credit but I'm stubbornly earning interest on my cash, and can pay it back a bit faster when I feel like it.
Valli I am exhausted just reading about what you have achieved there, sorry you didn't get a win this month - you deserve a good one next month.
I didn't get around to my glass cleaning today so it's on the list for tomorrow after the nurse appointment. Definitely got a few things ticked off though and the house feels much neater.

re the sofa - I think interest free credit is VERY mse, your money stays in the bank and you're not paying interest. 4 'charity' bags of bubble wrap have been picked up. I have cleaned the vacuum cleaner that is going - although, like mine, it's a vax unlike mine it has to be partially stripped down to access the brush for cleaning. Totally impractical. Anyways it has had a wipe down, brush bar cleaned and will be collected tomorrow.
Duvet set and single sheet in the wash before I take it all to CS.
And I am in bed, for I am po-fagged as my Grandma used to say, though I will have to go and get my hearing aids for charging; ears ached a bit so bake off was watched without them. The aching is the flappy bit they perch on, where my glasses sit.

congratulations @roundtuit - it's a cliche but you will wonder how on earth you found time to go to work.
I've reasoned with myself that just because my bathroom is being re-fitted doesn't mean that I can't do some good flying in the rest of the house. Today I've hoovered and cleaned the kitchen floor, cleaned the dining table and placemats and then organised my pyjama drawer. Oddly joy inducing to have organised jim jams. Oh and baked a lemon and blueberry cake to enjoy while watching GBBO.6 -

Good morning and thank you all 😘 You make me smile 😊
I've not had any side effects following yesterday's flu jab. So touch wood I'm not going to have.
Day 2
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed the nyt puzzles, changed Sassy's water and seed, put out the recycling, fed the birds, swished and pegged out the washing, and I'm savouring a coffee while the pots soak.
This morning I phoned ENT to try and sort out the mix up created by the pharmacist liaising with Endocrinology instead of with ENT regarding my thyroid meds dosage. When I saw the Oncologist he said I don't need to be seen by Endocrinology unless the ENT consultant decides its necessary. Fingers crossed the referral to Endocrinology will be closed and my ENT consultant will confirm that I'm on the right dose. Or change the dose as appropriate. I don't like making phone calls but I did it. And they're going to look into it. And breathe....
To Do Today List
- WUDUPA
- Write on WA card for DS and DDil
- Post card
- Write on birthday cards for niece and great niece
- Wrap presents for niece and great niece
- Bring in washing
- Breathe
- Savour the moment
I caught myself rushing to get the washing pegged out earlier and made myself slow down. The sun was peeping through the clouds and it was a glorious autumn morning. Enjoy it.
Oh yes, note to self: bin tatty gardening shoes. My feet were wet when I came indoors. I have another pair waiting to take their place. The world will not end if I bin the tatty shoes. When! When I bin the tatty shoes.
Love to all.

Afternoon all. Now I'm feeling better I want to plough ahead with the decorating. First step is to check we have supplies and we seem to have it all. Although I'm now wondering if we have enough white paint, but that's easily solvable. So today's tasks:
- Clean all things glass (I meant to do yesterday but sat down and ….) - now done
- Replace the fallen down hook under the stairs (I repainted the flaked paint yesterday) - done
- Drop the bags off to the CS - done
- Empty the drawers in the spare room and use for my craft stash - done
- Sort the clothes from the spare room into the stair cupboard - done
- Sell stuff including clothes - 2 bags for the CS and a few items on fleabay
- Gym session - not done but it was worth it to clear the clothes out
- Plan decorating with MrShores

Huge congratulations Round, and I hope you thoroughly enjoy every single day of it. I've never regretted not going back into paid work after I decided that if I eked out what I had I could limp through to my state pension, which I did.
A small win here on the premium bonds, so it seems a few of us Flyladies are having a lucky time of it.
I've had to catch up on some Foodbank work because I didn't go in last Thursday and I couldn't finish that yesterday because I was just too tired mid-afternoon. I wish I had more energy so I could crack on with things that need doing and I want to sort out. I'm working on a gradual but major declutter at the moment because someone in real life was whinging about how long it takes to put shopping away, and the penny dropped for me that it's only the case because there's no space. The chest of drawers I had a major clear out of a few years ago are all still only half full, and putting laundry away is therefore a doddle. I want everywhere in the house to be like that and feel like that.
My new mantra is,'Who will be pleased I kept this (including me)?' very much along the lines of Swedish Death Cleaning. I have boxes for Rubbish, Donate, Sell, Put Elsewhere Now Where It Belongs, For Nieces, and lastly but very, very controversially, 'Too Difficult to Deal With, Too Good To Go, Too Much To Keep.'
That last one is going to have a list of contents in it and on the computer, and it's going up to the attic. It currently has a few cotton vests (slightly too small but would do in an emergency), a few pairs of socks made of I don't know what fabric but excess to requirements at the moment, compression socks from when I broke my ankle, nail polish quick drying spray (a duplicate) and a small pile of microfibre cloths because the places I keep them are full already. If I don't need anything in the box in a year's time it could all go because I want the attic to be much, much emptier than it is but I'm still going to use it in the meantime. I'm setting up two boxes for things that should be kept in the family when the time comes, with explanations of what they are, why I consider them important and who should have them. Those boxes will be in the attic too. Other than that, when I deal with the attic next year I don't think I want to keep that much up there any more. I'm working my way through the bedroom at the moment and the areas I've already tackled are much clearer. If I don't achieve everything I've set out to achieve I'll at least have made life easier for myself on a day to day basis without creating a big mess while I'm doing it one box, one drawer, one shelf at a time.
I've already found an animal rescue centre that will take the two petbeds we don't need which proved tricky because the donation bins in the supermarkets say 'No bedding please.' I'll drop those off tomorrow on my way out to lunch. I've got to go and pick up a sewing machine that's been serviced later and have a conversation with the engineer about the seized overlocker which I don't think is worth repairing but he might possibly want it for spares. If not, that's off to the tip tomorrow too which is on the way to the animal rescue place and lunch. I'm drowning in gibble because I feel so guilty if I throw something away that could be useful but I've had enough of feeling over-whelmed. And I'm wondering about the textbooks from my degree that still interest me but I never look at.
I spent this morning prepping supper so if I keel over this afternoon with tiredness as I did yesterday I won't have to push myself this evening, other than to put the oven on and shove a couple of things in.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6 -
Afternoon all. Dry here and cloudy bright but a very cold wind. Washing almost dry but I've brought it in and draped it about because it's hard to tell if it's damp or just cold. Picked up DH's outstanding tablets from the last prescription (third time lucky) then we went to a garden centre for a potter and a cup of tea. It was either going to be there or a walk in the local small town and coffee. The wind made the decision for us.
Not much else going on. I'm not having my granddaughter here after school this week because her Mum isn't well and we can't risk passing anything on to DH.
Hope you thoroughly enjoy your retirement Round. I retired 14 years ago and I haven't missed work one bit.
