Morning all.
I've plans this afternoon but no excuse not to fly this morning. Have already freshened the sofa throws. I need to change bedsheets today, water plants indoors and do usual dailies and walking Poppet. Other than that I will work from the list. Need to update spreadsheets first as I've had a good start to the day with £150 win on premium bonds.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,
Thank you for the lists. Well done on your win, Jazee. I hope you feel better soon, Blackcats.
Yesterday I successfully practiced flying avoidance. The kitchen got a rather half hearted level one, the allotment got a couple of hours’ attention. It was very muddy, and there was much ungainly balancing on planks of wood. Luckily I was the only person there. I spent a couple of hours on curtain construction in the afternoon, then we were out with friends in the evening. I know, on a Monday as well.
Hopefully today the builders will finish, then I’ll have no excuses about flying 🙄6 -

Great news that Ernie has been generous to you, Jazee 😀
MMM, you're doing really well with your long lists, and HB, I'm in awe of your energy. As for Narc0 and Valli, what a pair of whirlwinds you are!
Yesterday I managed to marzipan 24 mini-cakes in a couple of hours. Hoping I can do as well today with the roll-out icing, though it's bigger pieces and therefore trickier. I should also be grateful not to get the sort of backache which I got yesterday from not straightening up properly between every other move - lesson learned. Last night I made myself a template for cutting the icing squares, in the hope of simplifying the job, though I may need to adjust the size, but it's only a piece of cardboard covered in foil, so that shouldn't be a problem.
We then did a quick trip here to see their Diwali display (which I found sadly underwhelming) and try out a new toastie for lunch (OK but not brilliant). We saw some lovely autumn colours, but I think the highlight of our visit for me was to be able to see the beautiful Burne-Jones oil painting "Love among the Ruins" in all its glory, as a certain window blind had been left closed, whereas when it is open the light falls in such a way that you can only see the picture from certain angles because of the glare.
Today I have done some financial admin and set our dressing gowns whizzing round in the TD (I put them in the WM yesterday, remembered to switch on, and then forgot to take them out to dry. Doh!!!
Today, apart from doing the icing, I have to make several phonecalls, deliver a birthday card, PUPA and clean in the study bedroom (NB flying!) so that DGD1+2 can stay overnight, walk Rosie, and fetch the girls from school and feed us all. DS1 will be helping DDiL1 to set up her stall at the Artisan Christmas Market in the big city until about midnight! Tomorrow morning I shall have to be up at 6.00 to take the girls home by 7.00 to get their breakfast and their school things… which will probably mean that I will have a sleepless night.
Better get started. Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Me again. Just having a cuppa before walking Poppet but all above is done and I've mopped all the hard floors in the house. Can't remember the last time I did that.

Another here with a PB win of £100 - it will go towards the sofa, only 19 more wins to go!
Updated the spreadsheet this morning and tidied up some accounts aka the money shuffle.
My new cushions and covers have arrived so I've sorted through the old ones. They are now in the WM which made an odd noise as it started to spin. I'm glad I washed MrShores' pillow first but may need to look at the WM drain for feathers and sequins later. The storage pouffe is now empty enough to put the throws in so I don't need to buy a basket for them.
I've crossed a few things off my own to do list but am planning to clean windows, shower screens and mirrors this afternoon with the Karcher. I'll do a loo check as I go round and open the windows, as well as checking the basins etc.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good afternoon xx
I'm sticking my head above the parapet to 👋 to everyone.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. A new chapter. A chapter called Retirement. Although I won't be receiving my pension until February, I am no longer employed nor actively seeking employment so that makes me retired! After much thought and deliberation I took on board everyone's advice and decided against returning to work. I handed in my notice to run alongside the final month of my sick note and here I am. Gainfully unemployed and very happy to be so.
I went for my flu jab this morning, calling at PO on my way home to pay this month's rent, buy a Wedding Anniversary card for DS and DDil (2 years on Monday), and a book of stamps. How much! 😱
This afternoon I'm meeting up with L at the posh farm shop cafe to celebrate my freedom 😀.
I've made my bed, taken my meds, completed the nyt puzzles, turned over the calendars, fed the birds, changed Sassy's water and seed, and put out the recycling.
I need to work out a new flying routine now that every day is a Saturday 😊. I'm thinking of projects to keep me busy. What fun.
Love to all.

Yaaaaayyyyy!!!! Happy Retirement, round xx
It seems to be a lucky day for people with PBs - enjoy your sofa when you get it, SandyShores x
I've done most of the things off my list, managed to cover 9 mini-cakes with roll-out icing before my back gave way, have done WMx4 (all for DH), and am about to take Rosie for a walk. Then it will be time to deliver the birthday card on my way to collect DGD1+2. I'm hoping to ice another 8 or 9 cakes this evening and the rest early tomorrow, then the decorations are relatively easy.
And, just like that, it's started raining. I don't think Rosie will want to go out, and I don't blame her.
xxx
