Does anyone know whether the new Santander card allows what Martin call Super Balance Transfers please?0

I've just made a balance transfer to an egg credit card from a store card online.
My balance transfer offer must be done before 1 Feb to take advantage of the 0% rate, but I just noticed after I had made the transfer that it says it can take up to 7 working days to process.
This means it's possible it won't get processed until after the 1 Feb, does that mean I will not get the 0% rate?0 -
Hi. I am new to balance transfers and have an outstanding debt on one card, but the new card I have got to transfer onto has a lower limit. Can i transfer only half the money to another card or do i have to empty the balance?:eek:0

You can transfer what ever amount you like but remember most lenders will not allow you to transfer more of 90% of your available credit. So let say you have £4000 credit limit on 1 card then you will only be allow to transfer on that card to up to £36000 -
if you owe £3000 on three different cards, and the 0% balance transfer is due to end, is a loan or getting other credit cards better??
advice please:j0 -

As well as being able to transfer debt from one credit card to another, is it possible to transfer debt from something like a Barclays Advance Account (which 'acts' like a credit card in that there a %age interest rate and a minimum monthly payment to make) to a credit card account with another lender and take advantage of one of the 0% transfer deals?
Many thanks,

I have a mortgage with Barclays and a 'pay off in full every month' Tesco Visa credit card (the sourcing bank I believe is the Royal Bank of Scotland) and I am happy to keep these.
However, I also have a Virgin Mastercard (sourcing bank MBNA Europe Ltd.), which I need to transfer as the 0% has expired and also a Santander credit card (don't know which bank sources this) whose 0% is due to expire at the end of June 2010.
In the past I have found that you cannot transfer a balance to another credit card if it uses the same source bank and you often don't know who it is until you apply because it is not often made clear, even in the small print.
I think it would prove very useful if MSE.com could list the major sourcing banks and against each show which credit companies/cards they provide funds to. Then if you already have an MBNA sourced card, you could automatically discount any credit card provider in that same list.
What do you think, MSE Dan?0
