Progressive Building Society ISA

Currently my ISA is with Leeds Building Society earning 4.16%. Is there any reason not to move it to Progressive at 4.5% apart from the 2 withdrawal restriction? I appreciate that both rates are variable so either of them might pay more in 6 months time. I would want to be able to add further funds within my ISA limit during the next 12 months. Thanks in advance for any advice.

No reason not to if you are happy with what Progressive are offering. Remember to initiate the transfer with Progressive on your application and not withdraw from Leeds.

I did a transfer from Secure Trust to Progressive last month. The online form on PBS was simple, I instructed "wait until maturity of existing ISA" which was a few to happen 4 weeks later. No confirmation email or anything came from PBS to say they had received instruction; the first I heard was when it happened (very quickly tbh, just 2 days after maturity)

But I would have welcomed a "we've received your request" type email from Progressive

I took the leap from a great app based platform to Progressive for both the rate and I need a flexible option for one of my EA ISAs at the moment.

Opened the account late on day 1 (Weds, around 11pm). Funds were moved and credited by day 3 (Friday, 5pm)

No emails or notifications from either party, but very relieved given the disaster earlier in the year with HSBC.

I should add I'm not a new customer to Progressive, so I didn't need to provide additional ID and no paper transfer forms were needed. The website is basic, but I can live with that.
