Renewing Tesco ISA
As my bonus rate is coming to an end i tried to open a new Tesco ISA following the procedure laid out in my account. Got the usual "Something's gone wrong" screen at the end of the application. From previous experience I waited overnight but nothing was showing in my account. Phoned up this morning and was told that as I had already contributed this year I could not open a new ISA …. but …. the procedure is to phone up and they will renew the ISA at the new rate keeping the sort code and account number. Nothing on their pages states that, it all states to open a new account and phone to transfer the proceeds.

Account has changed to the new higher interest rate but the bonus expiry date has stayed the same. Will leave it until tomorrow and contact them.

Contacted them today and their end shows 7 Oct 27 as bonus end date but I am still seeing 23 Oct 26 in both web and app so they have passed it to the back office.

My account is still showing as bonus rate ends 23 Oct. Have had a letter in the post, and on line, confirming 12 months from 7 Oct. Will wait and see what happens on Friday.
