I have also not had any debt recovery letters. I appreciate all your help

Then a lot of previous letters have gone astray, which is very strange considering that this one arrived correctly
Personally, I would get out that V5c and check that the name and address and VRM details are 100% correct, do not assume anything, because over half a dozen to a dozen previous letters are in the ether , its a lot to not arrive

Ah I see! See you don't know what you don't know. Thank you.
We did sell the car so I'm assuming that so many letters have gone to the new owner.
I assumed as I was getting threatening letters from them that the new owners wouldn't receive them. What have I missed and what can I now do about it?

Did you inform the dvla promptly ? To remove your own liability as keeper ? and when exactly. ?
2 -
I informed DVLA of the sale immediately

So now we are getting down to it did you as @Gr1pr send off the slip on the V5C to the DVLA to state that you no longer was keeper of the vehicle immediately after selling it?

Seems to me that you need confirmation from the DVLA in writing to know what date your liability ceased
Plus
Confirmation of the date that the original pcn was issued, plus the address that it went to, from the private parking company claimant involved
You also need details from the CNBC in Northampton as to the address that the actual Money Claim went to, plus details of the POC from the lower left of the claim form

Please follow the advice about setting it aside that I signposted you to already.
You will need to ring the CNBC with that claim number and ask for a copy of the Particulars of Claim to be emailed to you and ask them also, when and where the claim was sent.
I believe it was sent to the right address and you must have missed it, because if the Judgment in Default letter came to your correct address then the Claim did too.
My advice about applying to set the CCJ aside hasn't changed.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
