sainsburys welwyn garden city
back here again. Relative recieved a pcn despite not overstaying , and validating and spending £120 approx. They dont still have the reciept or validation ticket but they do have bank statement showing they spent £120 in store. On their behalf i called the sainsburys customer care and was give a load of nonsense saying i have to appeal to euro or phone them.. I said no its up to you to overturn it. Eventually he said if i go to store and see the manager and show proof of purchase he would get it cancelled. If i can get there tommorow i will do this but i may not be able to for a few weeks now.
just wondering if theres anything else to do?

Keeper's full name and VRM are visible through the reverse page because of the translucency.
I'm a random person on the internet. I hold no legal qualifications and nothing I say is advice.

Doesn't appear to be POFA compliant wording...

It's still there. Look on the scan of the back page, top right, just under the first paragraph of text. The name and VRM are visible through the page. You can read it in reverse.

Schedule 4, 9(2)(e):
(The notice must) state that the creditor does not know both the name of the driver and a current address for service for the driver and invite the keeper—
(i)to pay the unpaid parking charges; or
(ii)if the keeper was not the driver of the vehicle, to notify the creditor of the name of the driver and a current address for service for the driver and to pass the notice on to the driver;

Get the keeper to appeal attaching the receipt but NOT implying who was driving (say 'we/our') and state:
We did validate our shop, so your system must have caused a typo and as such, you must look for a minor (or major) keying error shortly before the time when the vehicle left. And I require you to show me what you find, if it is a partial match (minor or major). Do not leave me guessing, I require actual proof from your files of the VRM entry made using a receipt matching the exact sum of money shown on the bank statement attached.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
