Regardless of this, there will be a zero score with the assessor noting no cognitive or mental health conditions declared.

And yet there are over 1,000 people get the enhanced rate of PIP mobility with the main reason classed as "sleep apnea"
    Link

Sleep apnea - 1,211 people received enhanced PIP for sleep apnea in April 2025, up from 193 in January 2019

I don't know if the OP's partner would be entitled to Mobility or not, but clearly it's not so cut and dry as some think, as people can and do score points for it.

Need to look at the data underlying that reporting. Is it really that they get PIP for those conditions? Or is it actually they get PIP and happen to have listed those conditions on their forms? We know from claiming PIP ourselves there's no distinction when listing our conditions between 'main' and 'minor'.

The reporting on that page definitely wants people to think they get PIP for those conditions. That page clearly has an agenda, so, the underlying data would need to be examined in order to find the truth.

The DWP list the main point scorer to decide on what condition to put it under,
In those cases, there might have well been other points scored elsewhere but the DWP believe that sleep apnea was the main scorer with those people.

My view on this is that it indeed won't be black and white....and the stat above points to that even with caveat raised also above.

I do think there's potential to score points in mobility 1 activity but don't think it'll be assured. We know assessors can be inconsistent too generally let alone on a specific question of whether this condition or symptoms aligning with it would be considered in planning or following a journey.

    exactly this.
Hubby gets high rate daily living because he has autism and social anxiety, they can create difficulties in getting around in some people with autism. But he gets no mobility. His sleep apnea got the lowest points except for the cpap.

When you go to the quoted dashboard it is their own dashboard, & if you google their stance on benefits, you can make a decision on their statistics.

Extreme server sleep apnea and PIP will depend on any warnings and frequency of sleep “attacks/ episodes”.

I’m talking falls sleep with no warning multiple times a day regardless of activity. Therefore it posses a real risk, especially with no warnings and can occur regardless of activity undertaken at the time.

If seated and watching tv I can fall asleep but if I’m cooking or stood I don’t. Therefore the risk and effect on other activities is minimal.

Mobility activities are split in two, the physical (can you stand/walk) and the cognative/mental health conditions (plan/follow) so it might be that a physical condition other than sleep apnea are causing a mobility score.

Maybe the people getting the enhanced mobility for sleep apnea are getting it for the walking around part and not the planning a journey.

If you wake up fatigued and are to exhausted to go for a walk due to your sleep apnea 4 out of the 7 days you are marked as not being able to do it,

if you walk round someones house and then fall asleep when you get there would you be to exhausted to walk home and therefore you couldnt do it reliably, safely and repeatedly

Yes, but not necessarily to the same place he left.

PS, I got 0 for not being able to follow a map or signposts because of vision impairment. I'd also need to stop every passing bus and ask where it's going.
