I knew this would happen - someone gave me his ticket when he left

Enjoy your break and forget about it but if you can, please stake this place out a few times. Sit in your car (with a ticket paid for) or walk in and get a video as proof of the guy doing this. It would get UKPPO banned by the DVLA.

I think you have misunderstood. You won't be replying at all. Ignore it means ignore it!

Show us the PCN, with personal details redacted (when you get back).
Last time I looked UKPPO notices were not POFA compliant.

I go to Manc fairly often with work, I get the feeling the car park is manned in the day as there is a kiosk that was locked when I went in the evening, and the signs say use the app if you have no coins (there's no machine)
So when I go in the evening I'll see if my friend arrives again bearing fake gifts

Still non-compliant then.
If you look for the main thread of parking company letters the reasons are in there.
I'd simply ignore them. They've just been bought by Apcoa, so quite possible that they will making even fewer court claims than they currently do.

ignore them?? My missis doesn't know about it yet, she wanted to settle with NCP but I held my nerve and NCP dropped the case. I'll see what they send next.
The car park is next to a bar, a big one, I'll ask them if anyone else has been scammed by the phantom ticket guy

Yes ignore them unless you move house.
Do try to catch ticket guy in video…
