Hi, I've just received this message in my journal.

I wasn't expecting this. Not sure why they want to go so far back. Does this mean a monthly statement for all of that time?

When it says overpayment, does this mean I owe them money?

Feeling quite stressed by this.

Thanks in advance for any help.

i was expecting it after your previous posts.
You made an error, their system cant change that so it needs to be manually verified.
Yes they want each months statements from each account you hold for the full 7 years.

21.04.1969 is obviously a typo or a misfire on a drop-down calendar. Raise a dispute and don't take any nonsense from them.

Obviously a mistake….. but I think what they are doing to deal with it is reasonable. They've asked for statements going back as far as banks are required to hold that data so they know you will be able to provide them. I do not see their request for statements as optional…. they're being polite possibly in the sense that they too are a little embarrassed or frustrated that this can not just be dealt with by simple data correction which it sounds like you made anyway. Whatever accounts you held in last 7 years…. grab the statements… send (via upload link they provide I'd hope rather than any taxi trips)… get it over with.

The alternative as above… raise dispute and say it was a clear data entry error, quickly corrected and that you have already supplied recent bank statements if that's the case

Is this just a message in your journal or a formal letter? Its very poorly written and as you say it sounds like a request. I'd be tempted to wait for a more formal communication but maybe try and pull together the statements just in case.

That looks like a journal message from the case manager.

When they say they have raised it with their technical team, they have done a referral to a SIL who should have asked Agent Support if/how the mistake can be corrected. The answer/advice they have received is that the claimant must redeclare their capital again (correctly) from the start of their claim.

Bank statements will be required for any period where the correctly declared capital is over £6k, as per normal procedure when declaring capital.

Agent Support will not correct the claim on behalf of the claimant under any circumstances, even though it is clearly a mistake - the declaration of capital must be made by the claimant. This is to maintain the integrity of the claim (any claim) should legal proceedings ever be required.

Always found that every todo has a upload doc's option. Although file size maybe a issue here.

Although putting a request to close a claim while review is in place is going to raise questions.

Really would help to stick to one thread, so people have the full picture.👍

Is there not a ToDo about requiring these statements?
