Debenhams.com sale- load of pants

Hi folks,

I apologise for the title, i'm not promoting underwear, but want to warn people that i have now placed 5 orders on Debenhams.com for what appear to be bargain baby clothes, but each time i get confirmation of order, i get a cancellation to follow.:confused:

I had a letter after the first cancellation saying it had been cancelled because the items were out of stock, however, the items were still showing as in stock on Debenhams.com days later.

Really disappointing and frustrating!:mad:

    Perhaps they are having problems. Or theyre not removing whats out of stock from their website.

    Ive never liked their website, they olnly have about half of whats in the shops there

    Same happened to me, letter in the post telling me was cancelled after receiving cancell email, must cost a fortune posting letters out, we end up paying in the long run!!

  • I have to say I am really dissappointed with them as well. I have ordered from them lots of times in previous sales and had a few things cancelled (which you come to expect with a lot of the online sales), but this time everything I ordered was cancelled - and I ordered quite a lot of kids stuff!! Its starting to get a bit more trouble than its worth as you spend ages choosing what to buy. When you have small kids its hard work going instore as well - tescos kid clothes from now on me thinks..

    What annoys me is that they keep showing live stock of items that are infact sold out!! :mad:

    I had exactly the same problems. Everytime I went to my basket it would tell me I had to delete certain items out of my basket as they weren't in stock. So I would cancel them and choose something else then by the time I got back to checkout something else had to be cancelled. :mad:

    When I finally got through the checkout I had an email saying thank you for placing your order to be delivered to your billing address, yet I had put in a different delivery address as I live in a completely different country to my billing address. :mad: :mad:

    Then I got another email minutes later saying another 2 items had been cancelled. :mad: :mad: :mad:

    Thanks op, you've just reminded me that I still haven't had a reply to my email. Somebodys in for an earful :beer:

    Same happened to me too !! Sent them a snotty emnail as item is still in stock on website and they are quick sending these emails asked them where my email is to confirm my £6 refund still waiting for from about 6 weeks ago Still no reply !!!

    I agree, Debenhams is absolutely hopeless when it coes to the website, EVERYTHING I ordered was cancelled the next day via e-mail, and items that i did try to order are still showing as in stock on the website now, well over a week later! They seriously need to pull their socks up!

    I ordered a few things first day of the sale and got them all bar one yesterday. It always seems a bit hit and miss and I have been disappointed before but equally have managed to get some good bargains though I like to go instore too!

    There seems to be some sort of ongoing competition between Debenhams and M&S to see who can provide the worst online shopping experience:rotfl:

    (I've recently had bad experiences with both:mad: )
