All keys lost - price to fix more than doubled after the initial quote

A quote is a "quote," mate.
You can get quotes with the caveat of ,what if.
I'm sure the OP is aware about "estimate" and "quote," as the people I have met at times often bang on about an "estimate," then upset when it's more than the "estimate." I've enlightened a few over the years re esitamte vs quote.
For me to get a better idea of the quote, I need to know what car/mode/year this vehicle is.
It's always good practice to ask as many questions before committing and ask 'what if' questions beforehand for a peace of mind.
OP, next time, put an Apple or similar tag on your keys. Having said that, it can happen to the best of us and not losing a key for over 20 years is good but I've never lost a key as yet but there is always a fist time.
