Nice problem to have - but does anyone else get annoyed by this....

It's the SMS app that provides the copy option when it recognises a phone number, code etc. If you cannot copy it, then it matters not if the website f's around with paste (for which there is an extension if you use firefox for android instead of chrome)
Not an issue for me, as I don't use the same device for SMS and web browsing.

I guess it possibly depends on the particular SMS app being used, although I doubt that many deviate from what's installed by default.

Indeed. In this particular situation (Cahoot login) it's not relevant, but if I need to copy a piece of text from an SMS message I press/hold and copy/paste all of the text into the composition window. From there, any part of the text can then be copied for use elsewhere.

No - it was quite a long standing accumulator at the bookies that finished with Europe's victory in the Solheim Cup. I guess I'm going to just have to hold the line on the phone until Cahoots answer and I can clear things up. I've probably just got so used to everything being so instant that any slight hiccup makes me angry (yes - I am turning into my father :-))
