Nice problem to have - but does anyone else get annoyed by this....

Looking at his posting history. I reckon Premium Bonds, but ICBW
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Not being funny but when it says you've changed your password, are you then using the "new" password or the "old" one to log in?
Send them a written complaint if you want the £100 back and can't be bothered sitting on a phone, to: cahoot Operations, Sunderland, SR43 4FX.

I think there might be a problem with their systems because I've always been able to access it and get money out straight away. This evening however, I've had this message three times now at the point that they send the OPT. Very annoying as I still couldn't fund my new account with the Buckinghamshire Building Society (who took 5 days to inform me of my account number).

It's not irrational to query the length of a code which has well over a trillion different combinations.
It's not irrational to be unable to memorize such a code which pops up on your phone for all of 10 seconds.
It's not irrational to bemoan such a code that can't be copied (from notifications).

The Cahoot code gets sent in an SMS which you can see until you delete it, not just for 10 seconds. You can also copy and paste the code if you don’t want to or can’t remember it, or you can write it down. If using Cahoot on an iPhone, you can actually even let the iPhone fill the code in for you with a single tap (although the website might be difficult to operate on a small display).
I am not exactly a fan of the Cahoot login procedure and website myself but I think the Cahoot rates are often worth my while coping with their dated technology. For people who can’t or don’t want to cope with it, there are often a range of alternatives, such as Spring instead of the Sunny Day Saver, or Tesco instead of the Simple Saver.

If you tried logging in around midnight, you might well have been caught by some maintenance activities. It’s not unusual that online banking or apps are playing up in the dead of night. It’s been working fine for me at 4am.

I had no issue logging in yesterday evening, so probably overnight maintenance as suggested above.
On the 2FA code, you just need to open your SMS app or expand your notifications (swipe down from the top of your screen) rather than trying to read it live when the notification flashes over. Though I agree a 6-digit number would be sufficient, it's a Santander thing to use and 8-character alphanumeric code.
The code not being copyable seems to be an Android defect (it only recognises numeric strings for quick copy).

Think it's actually coded into the website to be un-cut'n'pasteable, supposed to make things "more secure".
Just makes things "more annoying".
There are extensions for browsers on Windows to hack round this, not aware of similar for Android.

it certainly is copyable in my SMS messages on my iPhone, and pasteable into the Chrome browser I use on the iPhone. May be Android is different

Personally, I'm not a big fan of it ... however, once you realise that it's not case-sensitive then things do improve slightly.
