WiFi in caravan

Ah, gotcha, thanks. That's actually an interesting gadget.
Maybe next time quote the post you are alluding to so that there's context for your post.

Well I am still having trouble with this. Most wifi extenders say to press the WPS button on the router to connect. However this is obviously not possible so is there a wifi extender that I can use without spending a fortune?

Think you mean WPS. Those 'buttons' (one on the router, the other on the repeater or other device you might want to connect) are a way of connecting devices without having to enter a password.
Connecting using a password is still available.
What trouble are you having? Have you purchased a device?

Yes, WPS, have changed that. No haven't purchased but looking on line most say to set up you press the button on the router. Expensive ones, £150 plus do not need this so do any cheaper ones allow me to log into the campsite wifi without pressing the button?
You say connecting with password is available but is this true for all or just specific ones?

I can't answer for "all" but it's true of every one I've ever used.
Here's the cheapest repeater at Argos
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1115138 £16.
Here's the instructions for setting it up with TP's Tether app
Here's how to set it up using the web interface
Both detail how to use the Wi-Fi router password to set it up.
Would caution that the comments above about getting a signal inside a caravan (without an external antenna) still apply - you can't boost a signal unless it is already sufficiently strong to register on the device.
And regardless of boosting the coverage/strength of the Wi-Fi signal, it can't boost the performance of the internet connection.
EDIT : AFAICT this is the same TP-Link device as the one above at Argos but at CeX, £6.

Without WPS, you usually configure the extender manually: connect to the extender's temporary setup network, choose the existing SSID, enter that network's password, then choose the name/password for the extended network.

Thanks for your patience., I have now ordered a TP one and hope that will solve the problem

Will do, we are going back to Ferry Meadows campsite around the third week of next month but I will try it at home before we go.

Depends on your network: https://www.ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage-checker
Always good to keep pre-paid SIMs from different networks on hand.
