Lol :) my essay title is: 'The period 1900 - 1940 was one of great change in British music education. Critically evaluate some of the key developments in educational thought and practise during this period and assess their influence on music education today.'
I just can't be bothered now :( its so boring and complicated! I have all the information, I just need to formulate an argument. arrgh!

Did you see Dance Britannia last night on BBC4? The first programme was about the changes in dance and society from 1900 - 1945. It was all about the introduction of 'rules' for different ball room dances and the way music and dance changed with the growing freedom of women - particularly the Charleston and the way music influenced the kind of dancing. Most of the music and the dancing had Afro Caribbean influences. It also talked about a guy who decided to 'collect' folk dances, the music and the steps for posterity as he felt we were becoming very urbanised - any country dancing done at school is all his fault!!

(probably no help whatsoever - but the right period in time!! Might be good if you need a bit of padded waffle !!)

Just start writing something, It gets the brain into gear. I always found starting was the hardest. You can always go back and change it. It isn't really boring, but one of those things that you know some of the answres to, but verbalising it and adding citations and references is time consuming. Are you doing a degree to be a music teacher?

I received a letter last month dated 3rd January 2008, regarding a missing payment to my credit card on 28th December 2007. Having paid my credit card bills by direct debit for some years, and never having missed a payment before, I find your reaction to this disappointing to say the least. You have reduced my credit limit without warning and by a substantial sum. Fortunately, I never asked for the inflated limit that you provided me with, nor do I want it or need it. However, I can only feel sadness for the lack of understanding you clearly show your customers at a time of year when people are most likely to poorly manage their finances.

In response to your excessive actions to my missed payment, I am repaying my account in full, and closing the account permanently. Please remove my details from your mailing lists and telephone marketing, as I no longer wish to be contacted by Halifax in relation to credit cards services.

    Fab - well done you!

    Lol.
