norton security
bought norton security a year ago from costco…cost £ 19….(sept 2 ) had to put card details* in to register-( why .I had already paid ).omitted to cancel renewal until a week before it ran out.
only reallized because it showed up late on my credit card
they took £ 89 %%%%%% out a month before my year ran out..they had me down for automatic renewal that I did not reallize.
It is now a nightmare to get a refund.they used all sorts of persuasion to get me to renew,I had to say ' final answer I want a refund '(on phone ) ( not recieved yet)
If you do buy norton…..cancel the automatic renewal ( hard to find )while you are still in the account to register…( do it for others also).they catch you out by taking automatic renewal a month early..maybe the financhial services oought to look at this…
I've got two words for this..and one of them is daylight..also..bargepole

Once you put in your CC details you should have checked what the renewal process was.
Have they agreed a refund? Very generous of them if so as it appears to be an issue of your own making, unless the money was taken outwith their terms and conditions.

£89 a month? How much did you pay for the product in the end
That sounds like the annual fee

I read it as taking the fee a month prior to the first year ending, not a per month fee.

I think OP meant that they took the £89 (annual fee) from their account in the month before their subscirpion expired, not that they've been taking £89 a month every month.

Why do "financhial [sic] services" need to look at it?
Not their fault you didn't read what you were signing up to.So you didn't question why you were putting card details into something that you'd already paid for and then you wonder why your product auto renewed.
