Last batch of jam labelled and put away but in a different cupboard/room as my jam shelf is fully laden. I do believe I have over 70 jars…

Afternoon all. One washload done today and mostly dried outside but I had to finish it off on the airer when the rain started. Dusted and vacuumed upstairs and downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. We had to wait in for a parcel which eventually arrived about 2.45 by which time it was raining, so no walk today. It feels a bit chilly.
Hope everyone's OK.

thank you for the tip to use white vinegar on shiny things - sorry I don't recall who shared that pearl of wisdom. Anyway the hob splasback, microwave and integrated oven are now shiny. I need to put a bowl of water and lemon in the microwave as it has a slight whiff of curry.
Hoovered throughout and cleaned skirting boards.
Happy weekend everyone!

Good Evening all xx
Today I finally took the fan upstairs to store in its spot in RoD.
I unpacked two bags of birthday presents: found homes for the gifts and added the gift bags to my stash.
Postman has delivered the cards that I'd ordered. P & S called this morning and filled 3 watering cans and 6 x 2L bottles with water as their town had had no running water for two days. (The problem has now been fixed.)

Afternoon all. Dull here and raining lightly. No washing today luckily. Waiting for cable engineer now - between 12 and 4 allegedly. I woke up at 3 am worrying about it, I'm pathetic. Got to have new box and new hub. I wish we could just have a normal television and telephone like "in the old days".
Hope everyone's OK x

Hello everyone. Hope you're all ok.
I have not been in flying mode but have kept up with dailies, dog walks and paid stuff as well as two days looking after DGS. Also cut DHs hair mid week.
Today has been showery so I haven't done any outdoor jobs yet but have walked Poppet in the rain, hoovered through and added a flowery trim to a pair of jeans to bring out my inner hippie.
Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Early birthday gift delivered - think DiL is fed up of driving around with a water butt in her boot - I found a kit with a diverter and stand so I asked for it for the big day. Just need to drill a hole in the butt for diverter and Hacksaw down pipe and fit it. Must read instructions first.
Rabbit food container was washed so that's been topped up.

Good morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, eaten breakfast, completed (or not when it came to Connections) the nyt puzzles, and supped two brews.
Yesterday I drove to P & S's, accessed my esr on their computer, and took the figures from my Pension Statement. The plan today is to sit down and look at outgoings then decide whether to fully retire next year, or carry on working two days a week on flexible retirement 🤔.
The Saturdailies and Sundailies need to be addressed too
Have a good day.

Morning all,
Creeping in at a back. It’s been a difficult week, any flylady posivibes gratefully received on DD’s behalf. I have done only the bare essentials, and sometimes not even those as my head really isn’t in the game. However we had a longstanding commitment here last night, so the result this morning is that the kitchen has had a clean, the oven too, downstairs swept through and the DR restored to its bare waiting-for-builder bones, dw x 2, wm is swishing with tablecloths, and my next job is to run a deep clean on both the dw and wm. My intention is to spend some time later today in the garden and gh.
First, coffee if anyone cares to join me?

Hello Again Everyone xx
Are you ready for another coffee, Fayolle? Sorry, I was busy earlier - not sure what I was doing but it definitely wasn't having a shower or swishing the laundry as planned because the water pressure was so low I basically daren't operate the shower or the WM.
I've sat and listed all my outgoings and worked out a budget including Christmas and Birthday expenditure, with a pot for future possible car repairs. I think I remembered everything: including TV licence, window cleaner, hair dresser.
The initial budget broke even with my forecast retirement income, but I've bitten a longstanding bullet and called BT to change my Broadband package - and reduced the cost by £16 a month. MSE 😇 or what?
Said Budget doesn't include dipping into the pension's lump sum which I worked out could supplement my weekly income by a reasonable amount for at least ten years if necessary.
So I've established that I can afford to retire on 1st February. The BIG QUESTION is do I want to take flexible retirement and continue to work two days a week for a while? I guess the first step is to ask if this is still an option.
And breathe....
