PCN received at my home

I've received a PCN from Countrywide Parking Management for "No Permit Displayed".

This refers to a space in a secure car park at a block of flats allocated to my flat (I'm a tenant)

On moving in over 18 months ago, I was advised by the landlord that there had never been a permit for the space. No previous PCNs had ever been received.

Where do I stand? Should I involve the landlord, challenge the PCN directly with Countrywide, or something else?

That there is a parking space allocated to the flat. There's no mention of it needing a permit.

Is this the actual flat's lease, not the rental agreement? Did you get hold of a copy from the landlord or another owner occupier?

My rental agreement. I haven't seen the leasehold.

Contact the managing agent (not your letting agent). The site managing agents. Ask them what the heck is going on.

You will NEVER have to pay this invoice.

I spoke to them today, they said they would get Countrywide to cancel the PCN - and a second one I've received in the interim!

Hopefully that's the end of it, thanks for your advice.

This won't be the end if it. Go and look for signage and take pictures to show us. Countrywide must have signs up so you need to find out what they say and why the site management has let them loose.

You'll get PCNs all the time and the managing agents will then start blaming you and refusing to cancel any more. We've seen this scenario before.
