How to find who the landowner is or their agents

1. If a retail park, check on any signage which lists the on-site outlets
2. Ask retailers on the site if there is a managing agent
3. Sometimes there is a Totem with names of managing agents such as Jones Lang Lasalle or Savills.
4. Ask retailers on the site to whom do they pay rent
5. Contact the local authority and ask who pays the non-domestic/business rate for the car park (some councils have a spreadsheet on their website)
6. Contact the local Valuation Office and ask if they know. They often have a website which might provide the information
7. Contact The Land Registry and for around £7 they should be able to provide definitive detail
8. If you haven't already done so, give us the name of the car park/site/location, we may have seen other cases there.

It looks like Tesco own this site as there are newspapers reports concerning contact between the local planning authority and Tesco over a failure to complete some environmental work which was part of planning permission and more recently objecting to Lidl store next door.

Possibly one for the CMA.

Also if Tesco (or any one else ) mis represents the truth when someone is demanding money, could this be seen as something more serious?
