Sort By Closing Date missing (Sep 2026)

There was a Vanilla forum update put through on Friday evening, which has, as usual, messed up some of our settings.

There are several threads on the Site Feedback board relating to problems with the missing Sort by Closing Date and Bookmark Threads, but these will probably not be looked at until Monday.

These problems should be and have been reported on the Site Feedback board. There are a few problems that have arisen following a Vanilla Forum update on Friday evening which, hopefully, MSE staff will be able to attend to when they return to work on Monday.

mine missing as well . I use it daily as Im an end dater comp. Could not sort into any chronological order today so had to plough through 57 pages to pick up comps

Mines still showing as only hot, new and top still

I do closing date to check I haven't missed any

See the thread, Sort by Closing Date has disappeared from Competitions Time (11/09/26) posted by One-Eye on Forum Feedback.

This is a problem that arose from a Vanilla Forums upgrade on Friday evening. MSE staff will probably not see and sort the problem until Monday. This seems to happen whenever ther is a large upgrade.

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this. Until there is a fix, if you enter "E: 13/09" site:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/ in Google search bar it brings up all the comps closing on 13/09.
Some could be closed comps from last year as Game Over comps are included in the search results.

Please fix urgently as I always enter by closing date and am now struggling. Searching via Google brings back a lot of old comps.

I've clicked on Standard Online Competitions then in the search bar typed E: 13/09 clicked on search then there's a drop down menu were you can select newest you've just got to double check the year of the competition that you're entering
