Compensation from BA - success

Flight from Heathrow to Faro cancelled 3 hours before scheduled departure. Rebooked on flight from Gatwick about 6 hours later.

Submitted claim through BA’s online form, including taxi from Heathrow to Gatwick. Informed in about 3 days that claim was successful. £1,200 in bank account about 3 days after that.

I’d say that was pretty good - compensation paid out within a week with no quibble.

Remember that it’s not the job of airport staff to deal with compensation claims. There job is to rebook you on next available flight and provide vouchers for refreshments, etc.
