Tesco coupons delivered too late

Parcels are apparently prioritised according to our local postie (when we see him!!) We've been told that we can ring the local office and they will hoick out any of our post they can find (from where??) and call it a parcel, maybe your neighbours could try that?
But yes it's a staff shortage issue. Who would want to walk for miles in any weather carrying a heavy bag and often get abused for the slowness of the service. I know locally they get lots of applications and new people starting but they quit quickly when they find out how hard it is.

I just had a look at their vacancies, £13.68 per hour, expected to walk circa 12 miles a day in all weather's. It's not exactly that appealing. Though no CV needed, answer an online questionnaire and if you pass just an interview with the manager so can see it would be easy to secure a job quickly if you are fit enough.

absolutely not the fault of Tesco. Well done for getting a goodwill gesture, but to claim discrimination is ludicrous. It’s 2026, people need to either move with technology or get left behind.

My partner had this same issue when the coupons arrived a week after the 1st one expired.
She uses the online shop more so never gets any online money off vouchers and this set of coupons was the 1st set in over a year.
Anyhow she went to Tesco Monday and and in the q for CS was about 5 people and when it was her turn the rep said hello are you here for late delivery of coupons?
Apparently they have had loads of customers with the same issue so unless it was RM large town wide non delivery of these coupons there could of been a another problem.

I think that's harsh - if Tesco wanted to turn their Clubcard scheme into an app-only operation then that's their prerogative (and would undoubtedly lead to claims of discrimination, albeit in the wider sense rather than unlawful discrimination) but if they continue to operate a paper-based version then IMHO they should take reasonable steps to avoid its members being unduly disadvantaged, e.g. longer lead times for voucher validity…

The coupons which show up in the app and web account are generally valid both in store and for on line orders. To use them on line I believe you have to actually add them to the order but in store they are automatically deducted at checkout once pre selected.

No her money off coupons are in store only use and all the people in the q were the same.

But that doesn't alter the fact that the coupons are available in the app and printable from the web site.

Maybe.
The fact is unless you check your Tesco online account every one or two day's you won't know if you have a money off in-store coupons to spend for that week will you as Tesco's don't tell you you have them .
Could be different if someone has the app but this thread was about coupons arriving too late in post to use them.

Re Radio Times: I was having a rant about late delivery of my copy, and a friend told me about BorrowBox. I now have the app on my iPad and because I am registered with my local Library I can download newspapers and magazines as well as books. I don’t know if all libraries work with BorrowBox but they might use a different app - I’ve heard that there’s one called Libby. But it must be worth a look. I’ve been able to cancel my RT subscription, which was getting quite expensive, and you’re paying for your local library through Council Tax, so you might as well use it. The only, tiny, drawback is that in order to do the puzzles I have to screen-shot the pages and then print them!
