Mifi help

my internet is with TT and is terrible due to the rural location - someone gave me a Mifi but I have tried to test it out with my mobile phone sim (ID mobile) but it says connected but no internet.

Before I go to the expense of buying a new sim can anyone offer any insight into the workings of them

Yes I have googled them etc but this is more of a test to see whether it is worth using one - where I live static caravan owners use them without any trouble so not sure why mine won't work with my mobile sim etc and will it make me able to actually watch iplayer etc without my tv buffering. FYI I am not going down the starlink route etc and have been on mse to see what other providers offer but the problem is my location not the providers

The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

A winner listens, a loser just waits until it is their turn to talk:)
