Worth appealing?
My newly qualified daughter has received her first parking ticket.
She was with a friend and rather than pay at the ticket machine her friend paid online for her as they were exiting the multi storey. Photo shows they exited at 15:55, email payment receipt shows 16:01.
Have we got a leg to stand on??
Thanks!

Post a redacted picture of both sides of the parking charge notice. ( pcn. ), redacting private information but leaving all dates and times showing
Name the claimant too

Was the car park pay on exit. ? Or pay on entry. ?
Was the correct VRM entered ?
and full payment paid for the time that the vehicle was on site. ?

Two questions. Has your daughter already identified herself as the driver to the parking company, and is she under 18?
Actually, a third question. Is she the keeper or someone else?

Pay on exit car park
Full payment for time vehicle was on site
Correct VRM
She is over 18
My husband is the registered keeper
Thank you!

She has not identified herself as the driver to the parking company.
She's about to leave for uni so we will take care of it for her but obviously if it's beneficial for us to reference her being the driver we would.

Thanks. If she'd been under 18 she could have repudiated the parking contract, at any point before turning 18 or within a reasonable time after. Not relevant here though. Would have been a nice get out of jail free card.

Ah, thanks anyway - will bear in mind for my son!

If your husband is the Registered Keeper, then it is he that received the NTK PCN letter, not the driver, not the family member , she hasn't received anything, her dad did
There is usually a reason for non payment against a VRM, typically its an incorrect VRM entry, or wrong vehicle selected so check that NTK PCN letter against the examples in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum and see if it complies with POFA or not , because if it doesn't then the RK has no legal liability
