Morning all xx
It's a lovely day here. I threw jeans and a fleece over my nightie and went to feed DB's puddies earlier. Its a quick job in a morning - quick fuss for Poppy, sort food and water, let Poppy out, let Rosie in. Rosie will let herself out of the cat flap when she's ready. (Poppy won't use the cat flap at all. Rosie will go out through it, but won't come in through it 🤷♀️)
I've made my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, eaten breakfast, and I'm supping a brew. I meant to set a load of washing swishing before I sat down, but I forgot.
To Do Today List
- Set WM swishing ✔
- Shower & get dressed ✔
- Feed birds ✔
- Fill birdbath and hedgehog's dish ✔
- Change Sassy's water and seed
- Clean out Sassy
- Meeting at work at 2pm*
- Pay rent
- Feed puddies at teatime
Apparently they* want to know how they can support me 🤣. Thats a joke for a start! Am I going back to work? Yes, that's the plan. When? 🤷♀️ who knows? When my meds are correct and I'm not exhausted, whenever that is. I have a fit note til 31st October 2026. Plus I don't know when I'll be going in for RAI ablation. Then I'll be radioactive and unable to go to work for 8 - 16 days. So when the consultant says so. Flylady posivibes will be most welcome. The letter said they may need to put me on Stage 2 Sickness. So? Do it. I can't magically unsick me and I've followed procedure every step of the way. And breathe....
P pointed out recently that I'm coping well with everything but as soon as work rears it's ugly head I stress out. Today should be a tick box exercise but I don't trust them one iota. It would have been a Teams meeting but I couldn't work out how to put Teams on my phone. So I'm going in. That works better for me anyway as I can ask a work colleague to join us if I need the support.
Right. Load WM.....
Love to all

oh Round… that should be a supportive meeting discussing adjustments etc (eg phased return) but it sounds as though it may not be. Do take someone in with you. Google 'reasonable adjustments' and have notes ready to remind you what to ask for, eg phased return, OT assessment, flexible hours. Try and take control of the meeting!
Off to the vol job today.

I'm hoping it's an informal welfare check. It's with my line manager's line manager- which suits me as I don't have a good relationship with my line manager who threw me under a bus while I was dealing with biopsies etc.
When I phoned to confirm that I will attend, Y said it will just be me and her. And nothing to worry about 'at this stage'. They rule with uncertainty and inviting fear. At this stage???
Anyhoo I've Googled. The minute I was given the cancer diagnosis I was classed as disabled and obtained legal protection from discrimination and unfair treatment at work through the Equality Act 2010. I cannot give a return to work date due to the variables, but I do plan to return and when the time comes I'd welcome Occy Health input and a phased return.
If I get there and Y is not alone I will ask a colleague to join us. I am not the person I was when I handed in my sick note. Please keep those Flylady vibes coming and 🙏 for a positive outcome.
Some Flylady / mse vibes must have filtered through a already as I used up overripe tomatoes and ood today eggs to make an omelette for my lunch.
Washing is pegged out. Think I might bring it in before I set off. Black cloud is looming.

Oh @roundtuit that sounds awful! 😔 I don't know why people can't be more transparent and prevent causing unnecessary anxiety! 🤦♀️ sending lots of positive vibes for a favourable outcome for you and a stress free transition when you feel ready ☀️

Flylady vibes worked their magic again. Thank you 🥰 No-one was waiting to ambush me, so just Y and myself in the room.
I agreed to a Occy Health referral being made and was offered a long phased return when I do go back. Aiming for beginning of November (when current sick note runs out) but Y accepted that this may not be viable depending on further treatment needed and how I am. So all boxes ticked for now.
I popped in to say Hello to colleagues upstairs and downstairs at TT. I've kept in touch via WhatsApp but it was good to see them in the flesh.
I live in my protected little bubble and venturing out makes things more real which hits hard. And I'm now worn out. But glad it's over and I did it.
I have the bins to put out ready to be emptied tomorrow. And the puddies to feed. I'll drive up to DB's as I've no spoons left. And breathe...

Evening all. Yesterday I did the bedrooms but didn't have time to post. Today I did a washload, took DGD4 to school, went back to peg out their washing (DD2 working and DsiL just had an eye operation). Back home and off out to look after DD1's dog while she was working (he has been ill) home this afternoon and picked DGD4 up from school and brought her back to ours for tea.
Bit tired and chilly now but OK. Glad your meeting wasn't too bad Round. Hope everyone's OK x

so pleased to read that, Round.
I have been to the vol job - everytime I go in I write a list of tasks and got them all ticked off today. We have had a vacuum cleaner donated so I have moved it upstairs and made space in a cupboard by shifting some stuff out, from a fundraiser a while back. I have it bagged ready to go to the CS. Plus I emptied the upstairs bin so a lot of going up and down stairs today and don't I know it. Way to tired to do much when I got home but I had got a hm fish pie out of the freezer so had that with frozen veggies for my tea. WUALTD and have dried washing and sorted next load, which is tea towels from the cafe and the ones at the bottom smell so musty. Still, a hot wash and a line dry will solve that. (I have been known to peg them out before washing rather than have them in the house, stinking).

@MinnieMousesMummy it looks as if you are feeding everyone in the house except yourself. Please don't forget to eat properly! With a daily list like that, you definitely need to keep your strength up xx
@roundtuit I'm very glad your TT meeting went as well as it did xx
Yesterday I cleared some more admin, and one small but annoying frog with the utilities company has been resolved. I spent the evening making a peach crumble (using up some non-ripening peaches which were ok once I cooked them in the MW) and cakes. Two plain sponges turned out beautifully, but the coffee cakes were a disaster, so it looks as if DD will have to go home empty handed 😪 as the plain cakes are intended for two fundraising events: this Saturday afternoon for the families and farmers affected by the local wildfires, and next Friday for Macmillan.
I have lots to do today and DH has not helped by only getting out of bed at 9.30 to make breakfast, and then only because I called him 🤬 My list for today is mostly flying, so I could have done with an early start, so I shall certainly be delegating some jobs later [mwahaha] eg hoovering through downstairs, including the bottom half of the staircase - he can use the old Dy$0n which is far heavier than the stick but does pick up pet hair more efficiently

Hello all.
I am about to get back to paid stuff but have done dailies, walked Poppet twice, s&sd bathrooms, hoovered through and been into town to buy a new freezer which will be delivered tomorrow. Lots of food in the bin.
