DD has just texted to ask if she can stay here overnight on Thursday. That will get me flying! 🤣
I made 4 jars of peach and apple jam yesterday (plus 2 tiny pots which I will keep) but unfortunately one of the large jars didn't pop. Luckily I have promised to make 2 cakes for fundraisers in the next fortnight, so they will definitely be peach and buttercream-filled sponges. I will also make coffee cake for DD, if she can carry one.
Today I need to prep the now ripen leftovers of the church plums and use them up. The chutney may have to wait until the weekend, then I'm done for now. I still have a punnet of non-ripening peaches and will make a large crumble for our meal on Thursday - what's left will be frozen.
I am being called to breakfast. Rosie will doubtless come for a bit of cheese; I don't know if she realises that it contains her half-tablet of anti-itch, as she always swallows it whole.
See you later xxx

Morning all,
I had a bit of a lazy day yesterday, but I am joining in for the rest of this week as I have a lot of things that I need to try and get done.

Feed the animals and walk the dogGet the kids to schoolDo daily tasksTidy up the dishes in the kitchen and put them into DWDecide about the interview I'm meant to attend tomorrow (not sure if I want the job or not, as I feel it might be too many hours at the same time as studying)Fold and put away the laundry that is in the TD- Find the required paperwork
Attend the meeting about my appealCheck banking and make necessary paymentsAttend the induction for my new courseCollect the kids from school- Sort through the top drawer in the bedroom
Take DD to the stables so she can feed her poniesTake DS to his drama groupFeed the animals and walk the dogFill in the paperwork required for the appeal
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday.

Well that's perked me up no end! thank you so much to the Flylady who sent a beautiful bouquet - they've been trimmed, fed and are now soaking up some much needed water. Belovéd also said thank you. He likes flowers just as much as I do. Much appreciated.
Remembered to weigh myself this morning and it's not as grim as it could have been. A day of trying to cram 104g of protein into me didn't end successfully as i only managed 84g despite building all my food around protein percentages. However, what was clear was that I felt full all day long and the yearning for chocolate mid-afternoon didn't happen so I'm going to stick with it for a week. Slept like a baby for eight solid hours so something agrees with me. That's progress of a sort.
I need to trundle Wren and then I'm going to do six miles, with a stopover at Sainsbobs to see if they have any support vests in my size. I need to lose weight and right now the only one I've got is the most comfortable thing I can wear.
Various things tidied away and not a lot else regarding Flying, but the house looks sort of okay, if you ignore the pile on the dining room table that's waiting to be transported to the scrapstore and CS.

Morning all. I've only skim read so hope everything is going okay.
I have my Tuesdays back now the children are back to school so just Mondays now. Today I have changed sofa throws, changed bedding, done dailies and caught up with admin and walked Poppet. Just having an early lunch before going to my exercise class. Going to do the daily puzzles and if there's time I may hoover through.
Spend less now, work less later.6 -
What a wonderful surprise 🥰 More Flylady flowers delivered by the post man. Thank you so much 😘
Excellent timing too as I was feeling a bit down. Yesterday afternoon/evening I realised that I felt like me for the first time in I don't know how long. I thought I'd turned a corner and the adjusted dosage was a quick fix. But today I'm tired again. And so tired of being tired. And it feels worse as yesterday reminded me how not feeling tired feels. Iyswim. 🤞🙏that this was a sign that my energy levels will soon pick up.
Flying today? I got dressed and went to feed DB's cats before coming home to make a brew. I've WUDUPA. I've swished towels and tea towels and they are pegged out in the breezy sunshine. In fact they're probably dry. I've done the dailies: made my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, fed the birds, put out the recycling, and changed Sassy's water and seed.
Still To Do Today List
- Bring in washing, FUPA
- Feed the cats
- There was something else but I can't remember what it was 🤦♀️ Brain fog!
Thank you once again to my Flylady Flower Fairy. (I was on the phone to Pops when they arrived - trying to explain who my Flylady Friends are was fun. )
Love to all.

ETA Put out the bins was the third thing. But that's a Wednesday job not a Tuesday job. If I had the energy I throw a tantrum: the frustration is real. And breathe.....

Sneaks in at the back
Things have been hard with both my parents not doing to go but I'll try and be here as and when I can
I've been doing bits and pieces all over the place as I think of them.
Can't have the windows open here as it's been piddling down all day.
Kitchen has been cleaned round, worktops and appliances. Ive even finally cleared the table!
Both the DW and WM have been on and emptied. Bed changed on Sunday so bedding, towels and cloths were washed and dried then.
Cats water fountain and water bowl have been scrubbed and filter replaced.
All washing has been put away. Some bits still on the airer. I had to give up with my tshirts with the deodorant/sweat stains. The light coloured tops cleaned up but the darks just wouldn't. I'm guessing because they were older the build up was too much so they've gone in the bin. I have accidentally brought myself some replacements, even though I don't really need them but I couldnt help it 🫣
I have also done a full freezer inventory. Everything out of the fridge freezer and chest freezer, listed and reorganised. Ive also worked on meal plans and shopping lists.
I'm having a quick coffee then I'll start working on the bathroom

Kitchen cleaned. I used the stepladder not the step stool, so all cupboard doors wiped all over.

7.1 miles trundled, and the coffee table we picked up at Ivybridge Tip Recycling Centre has just left the building to a dealer, which is fine with me. We've had the use of it for a year and he crossed my palm with a folding note, so that's pleasing. * profitable fling *

Busy day today! 😳 I did asana and meditation practices this morning then I:
- Finished off making the chutney and jarred it
- Harvested, cooked and pickled beetroot in a black garlic balsamic that I'm not massively keen on
- Cleaned up the kitchen after the preserving session - washed all pots etc, loaded and ran the dishwasher and emptied it
- Cleaned bathroom- descaling cleaner used on taps, mould remover on tile grout. Cleaned shower screen, bath, sink, toilet, windowsill and window frame, surfaces and scales. Changed towel and bathmat. Polished mirror and plant pots.
- Cleaned bedroom- bleached surfaces, windowsill, handles, light switches, plug sockets and door handles. Polished tissue holders and drink mats, sky box and shelves. Vacuumed.
- Vacuumed landing, stairs, and hallway. Bleached windowsill, door handles, bannisters, handrails, and the newel posts on stairs. Bleached downstairs radiator cover, Polished hallway table and plant pots, bleached and polished door handles
- Vacuumed yoga room
- Vacuumed front room, polished tables, cleaned windowsill.
I'm a bit tired now but feel better for getting it done - tomorrow I will finish off the kitchen and utility room. From Thursday, I'll be following the lists! 😁
