We're now out of contract with Sky for Sky TV (Sky Q box) + Talk & Broadband (Full Fibre - 150 Mbps). We're now on a rolling contract which is twice what others can offer a better bundle for. We're advised in the account that we can sign-up for 24 months and save £10 per month. A dreadful offer, I would expect retentions would come back with something better, even so, we can't be bothered.

We've initiated the broadband switch to a 900 Mbps plan with Vodafone at half the cost of our Sky 150 Mbps deal. Used MSE to help guide the deal and their referral of a £180 voucher was the best of the options. Now it's like a bank switch, it should be seamless…

The relevant part is that I'd carried out some research and looked at Freesat as an option. My partner still prefers watching live channels. We have the Sky wideband dish for and it should be a case of swapping the two coax cables from the Sky Q to the box we're buying. We've gone for the Manhattan S4-R Freesat 4K TV Recorder, the 2 TB is £40 more than the 500 GB, and £23 more than the 1 TB. The reviews are reasonably favourable and it appears an improvement over the generic Freesat boxes. Humax no longer make boxes though there are plenty of secondhand options.

We've now just got to navigate the Sky phone system to cancel the TV + Talk bundle which appears to have a 30-day notice period.

You need to certain that you have the correct LNB for you to get Freesat 4k.

Look there for info but you mentioned wideband dish but do you mean to say LNB?
