Happy 1st of the month! It's my Friday today as off work tomorrow!
Payments came out for my loans to CU but also my childcare payment so always feels like I've been gutted like a fish today on the 1st!
Cards
Barclay - 7080
Santander - 3532
Natwest - 4052Loans:
Nation - 15,309
Credit - 2124
Credit - 21,074Total debt £53,170
Still to make payments to my Nationwide Loan, and Santander and Natwest and I should be able to make an extra payment to Barclay.
Positives to focus on this month - My total debt will fall to under £53k by end of this month! Barclaycard will go from a 7k figure to a 6k figure!

Its always a great feeling when each thousand £ goes down. Still trying to work out our overpayments, but we will get there.

it is indeed, and I’m going to claim each victory as and where I get them. Next month my CU loan should go from 21 to 20 and my Nationwide should also go from 15 to 14.
After those victories it might take a few months before I claim anymore victories lol!
Went and got the car tyres sorted. I had envisioned having to replace three and maybe 4, but the guy told me the two back tyres were practically brand new and just needed to sort the front! Two part worn tyres for £90 and my wife will give me half of that when she’s back to work. So that’s both the repair work and the tyres which have came in much cheaper than I anticipated!

Haven’t posted much lately.
I’ve yet to have a NSD in October like I planned.
Had to pay £25 today for someone to cut the grass. My own fault, with all the drama involving my brother lately and weather I’ve not been able to get it cut, and it was well overgrown so I’d have likely burned my lawnmower if I tried to cut it myself so better to pay £25 than risk having to buy a new mower!
Unlikely to be the last cut as the grass grows so quick but I’ll be able to do the final cut myself with my own mower.Still waiting on my first statements to generate for NatWest and Santander. I know NatWest will be £40.50 minimum payment and Santander will be £35. But planning to pay £50 to NatWest and £40 to Santander so those debts should fall by more than minimum and every little helps!

Hi if you pay £53 then NatWest will also fall into the next thousand… Good luck V x

I had considered that - But any extra payment I have is going towards the largest and soonest to expire Credit Card (Barclaycard Mar 2029)
Incidentally I have been looking at my eligibility for other cards (In case I ever need to transfer balances again!!) after closing down 2 MBNA cards and a Halifax card within the last 6 months, I've now shown eligibility again for Lloyds/MBNA cards with long transfer offers and 80% for Virgin, so nice to know the offers are still there!
But very much focus is clearing all the card balances without transferring again!!

I didn’t stay strong!
The statement for NatWest dropped on Friday and I paid the extra to take the balance down to 3999!Not at the expense of anything else so I took the extra £3 from my “everyday” spend pot!
Had the wife’s big milestone on Saturday! Went for coffee whilst eldest child was in drama and then had her parents round for a take away! Yesterday we went to a touring fun fair near us. Was expensive enough but we all had an amazing time and memories are what we’ll remember in 20 ye
