However if you use ebay simple delivery and wrap properly then ebay cover any damage . A few months ago I sent something via SD/GSP to Italy and it took 5+ weeks to arrive and when it did it was broken and the outer box was damaged. Buyer opened a case and ebay refunded straight away.

“That’s the way to do it” as Mr Punch says 😹. I collect Portmeirion china and bought a lovely little vase on eBay. When it arrived it was in quite a big box and the packaging was a work of art. Layers and layers of bubble wrap and brown paper all done up with sticky tape. It took me quite a long time to unwrap it. The little vase was in perfect condition.
