Is it possible for alliance parking ltd to open a new claim with moorside?

I fought moorside legal with a parking charge for alliance parking ltd which was issued in 2022, last year I received a letter of claim, so I responded with the template coupon mad offers. It's been a full year and haven't heard a thing.

Today I have received an email from moorside legal saying I owe £170 so I checked to see if it's the same reference but this is a different reference number.

I haven't used an alliance carpark or received any letters for a recent parking charge. Could they be opening open a new claim of the 2022 charge as they failed to chase me up after the letter of claim reply ?

I'm waiting for a letter through the post which is stated on the email.

The claimant should really lump all outstanding invoices into one claim

Just follow the advice in the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

I don't think I will receive information on what or where the charge is from as it's now with moorside legal? I genuinely haven't received a single letter saying I have a charge so it's confusing why I've received this

The name of the client is on the letter

Check if your V5c is currently up to date, because the letters went somewhere, moving home and not updating the V5c log book is the usual reason for missing paperwork

Here we go again: it's the same PCN, just a fresh solicitor's ref number this year. Seen this on other threads. No big deal, just means they've reopened a file and given it a new reference.

Await the Claim Form, the end game that you want.

They have transfered a lot of the older cases begining with 1 to a new system begining with 4

Cases on the old system with Trace start with a 1 and then move on the new system with Moorside and references begin with 4 for a % of other cases

The combined Trace/Moorside APN system starts off with a 4 with trace

Trace has two portals for new and old system, Moorside only has a portal for case references begining with 4

Moorside has added a FAKE £70

A FEEBLE ATTEMPT OF DOUBLE RECOVERY

This is called the OSNER SCAM. OSNER OWNS ZZPS…. a debt collector

If Moorside take a fake to court, the chances are a judge will spank them and award you costs

I thought this must be the case.

I have still not received a letter as they stated in the email but I have now received a letter on claim notification via email today. Shall I just do what I done before on my old letter of claim, ask for a 30 day extension and then respond with my previous response?

No need to delay it an extra 30 days unless you especially want the claim pushed closer to Xmas. I wouldn't!

See post 2 of the NEWBIES thread for the current LBC reply we recommend.

I will send them a response. Would you mind reading this before I send it please? I appreciate you have a lot of things to monitor on here.

    Dear Sir/madam,

    Ref. **********

    Proposed Legal Proceedings

    Claimant: Alliance Parking Ltd

I refer to your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:

    (my address)

You should revert to your client because the 'propensity to pay' score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether 'fronted' by your firm or not) move on to weaker victims.

Also I want to add the carpark states 2 hours but it also states this on google "Customers of certain stores could park for 2 to 12 hours, while non-customers had a 2-hour limit" I was using the cinema "Odeon" and I can obtain proof I was at the cinema during these times with bank statements.

If you persist in processing my data and in the event of filing a court claim, take note that I will file a Part 20 counterclaim for not less than £500.  This will be claimed as damages for distress arising as a result of clear breaches of the DPA 2018 and/or the Protection From Harassment Act 1997.

I will rely upon the case of Simon Clay v Civil enforcement ltd and similar cases that have succeeded. I suggest you cancel the PCN.

The alleged 'debt' is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

    Regards,
