Oak Legal services letter before claim
Hi there
I hope somebody can help me.
I received what may be a letter of claim which I am uploading, I hope the blurred lines are ok now. Im an old guy who’s not tech savvy but have a read a few pages on this website but I haven’t a clue if I need to pay this or what I should do.
I can’t remember the date in question but it says it was 2 years ago.
Would someone be able to guide me on what I need to do next? Do I ignore?
thanks
Frank

OAK is just a trading name of ZZ[S which is the famous OSNER money scam
Of course you don't owe £170, £70 is the money scam and OAK are trying DOUBLE RECOVERY which is not allowed
An odd letter in the style of ZZPS trying to extort money and you should ignore it
All the rubbish that a judge could add damages is only scare tactics,, more like a judge will spank them for a feeble attempt of DOUBLE RECOVERY if they take such rubbish to court
All part of the great parking scam

@franky88455 I assume that you have had previous correspondence about the incident? Do you still have a copy of the NTK that was issued c2 years ago? If so can you post a redacted picture?
As @patient_dream says don’t go paying this or any amount.

I wouldn’t ignore it. If it’s a genuine Letter Before Claim, get some advice and check the details carefully before paying or admitting anything.

Just email the LoC response template to Oak legal as seen in the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, but study half a dozen recent Oak Legal LoC threads on here for the details and email address

you never pay these firms.

how do I know if it’s genuine?

JJust Assume that its genuine, because at the moment they are churning them out like confetti, which is why I said read half a dozen recent similar cases on here

Guys, I missed the LOC half way down letter, I assume the OP has hidden the standard header being "Letter before Claim"
Reading the letter further, they say ..
"Additional recovery costs and other sums due under the parking contract"
OAK do not seem to understand the Supreme Court ruling v Parkingeye .
The ruling said "The parking charge is set to operate the scheme"
OAK are adding a fake charge and giving the false impression that other charges could apply. …. THERE ARE NO OTHER CHARGES and the fact they added a fake £70 is simply DOUBLE RECOVERY
Of course you do not pay OAK just follow the advice on here for your reply
Will OAK take a money scam to court ?
Can the OP take a picture of the sign and post it here

Eh? Don't pay and don't admit. Who would advise otherwise?
LBC's are just a sign they've run out of threatograms. Just ignore and await the court claim. No judge ever asked "did you respond to the Letter Before Claim?"3 -
So the title just says “before claim” nothing else but then states letter before claim in the paragraph.
How do I know it’s genuine as people say don’t reply to one that isn’t? Is this correct0
