Black Horse

I had car finance through Black Horse and responded to something I saw for a company to help with a motor finance complaint- I think it's been well publisiced about the Black Horse finance so I signed up. They emailed me sporadically about it and I didn't give it much thought as I was preoccupied helping look after my mum and brother - my mum has since passed so everything going on was a bit of a blur. Somewhere along the line Ive signed up to another company for the same thing. I have no recollection of doing it but I must have as they say they have signed docs. Now Ive received an email from Black Horse saying I must choose one company and tell the other company not to act on my behalf.when I contacted both companies they both say they will charge me for work done so far - although they won't state the work or the costs until I say I don't want them to act - the companies are Courmacs Legal Ltd and Locksley Law Solicitors. Has anyone heard of these companies and are they reputable? I'm terrified they will bill me for hundreds or even thousands of pounds that I dont have. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Both companies are involved in the processes, just search the forum and you'll get an idea of their repuations.

You'll have to choose which one you want to do the work for you.

It will have a cost to cancel, you'll have to ask.

Whoever you engage will also take a chunk of any payout you may get, percentages may be different, once again ask them.

  • both are registered solicitors. You will have to pay one to remove them, you can only have one representative. Whichever you choose to keep will likely keep 30% of your compensation if you are owed any.
