Budget Car Rental - Issues at Bordeaux Airport

Still waiting for a mystery €2.66 that was added to my bill in June depsite lengthy correspondence with Head Office. Reason for charge is not clear from really confusing invoice and Head Office for Avis/Budget are unable to explain it to me. All I know it was added to the deposit at check in. It now cannot be refunded to my credit card, which makes no sense and I find highly odd as it is well within 90 days. Still waiting and get a different story every day. €2.66 is not a lot but if applied across many customers then it quicklly racks up for someone. My advice is beware and check in detail at the check in desk, as you will struggle to get anything back.

No doubt a "point of principle" but for the price of an espresso at the airport……

I got charged once by another company for just renting a diesel car, it was around €4, but there was no choice in the car, it’s all they had! No mention of it when I pre booked but it wasn’t worth the hassle of challenging it (my Spanish isn’t good enough)
