No response from Kia
I used the MSE reclaim template letter to enquire about my finance deal when I bought a new Kia car back in 2023.
The template suggested the email be sent to: commissionqueries@kiafinanceuk.co.uk, which I did back in Feb 2026. I then sent several chasing emails to the same address, and also to commissionclaims@kiafinanceuk.co.uk, but have not had a single response to any email; not even an automated 'thank you for your email' response.
Has anyone had any joy with a response from these addresses, or perhaps a different email address I should contact?

You will have no claim as far as discretionary commission arrangements are concerned as these were banned in 2021, neither will you have a claim bases on contractural ties as the tie is obvious when you but a Kia using Kia finance. That leaves an outside chance that you have a claim based on unfairly high commission.
The time scales they have to respond to you if you don’t have a claim is as follows.
If you have complained and are not owed compensation
In the meantime, lenders will need to tell you if you have complained and are not owed compensation under the scheme, unless one of these exceptions applies.
The deadlines below do not apply if your lender considers your complaint is out of time. They also do not apply if your complaint is about a contractual tie and the lender says you are not owed compensation because there were visible links between the lender, manufacturer and franchised dealer, for example, because they shared a common or similar name. This is because the legal challenge includes how the scheme identifies out of time complaints and how the exception to contractual ties works.
If you complained by the relevant date below and you are not owed compensation under the scheme, your lender should tell you by:
- 18 November 2026, if your agreement began on or after 1 April 2014 and you complained by 30 June 2026.
- 18 January 2027, if your agreement began before 1 April 2014 and you complain by 31 August 2026.
If you complain after these dates, and you are not owed compensation, your lender should tell you within 5 months of receiving your complaint.

Was it too much effort to actually read the MSE article before firing off your complaint. What a waste of time.

Kia will be due to respond to you by November, but for a 2023 agreement this is almost certainly a waste of time, as you will know because that's stated in the article.

- No DCA in a 2023 agreement
- No contractual ties (obviously Kia uses Kia finance)
- Unlikely high commission from main dealers
