  • I need one too. I think I had one of the old MDF ones and it's gone all bent at the end since I bought a steam generator iron :) Keri did you get a good one?

I bought a wide ironing board from Wilkos just before christmas last year and it had T style feet with 1 leg each side (as opposed to the two legs each side the ones on the previous post displayed), came with a spare cover and sleeve ironing thingy. One of the feet has now broken off and I've had to throw it away because it just falls over and no way of reattaching. I can't understand how it broke because it is metal but can only assume it was badly welded. Anyway, can't remember how much it cost, probably around £25 but if you are buying one from Wilkos don't buy 1 pronged leg ones like I did as it was rubbish. Have now bought a minky one from tesco which was half price at £14.99 it's not as wide (which I will miss) but wanted to go with a branded one this time but didn't want to pay too much.

I've seen fold-up ones that are included in some fitted kitchen cupboards/drawers. Is it possible to buy them separately and fit them somewhere yourself?

I've had several over the years but the one I currently have I bought in Lidl about 5 years ago and it is FAB! If you look ontheir site you can choose for them to email the special offers to you and you'll see when they next have ironing boards. I don't even think mine cost a tenner. Incredibly well made, sturdy and with nice, thick cover.
  • I swear by my Minky fold up board. Easy to use and folds up small enough to be hidden in a small flat with no storage.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D
