Buy the widest one you can find.
Less stopping to turn makes for quicker ironing.0 -
I bought a huge one out of Instore (Poundstretcher) about a year ago in a nice blue camouflage! Came with a spare cover and one of those little ironing board thingies for doing sleeves. It was about £15 and is much wider than the standard one.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Mine is from Wilko's, it's their own make but a higher end model, it cost £24.99. It's an excellent size and very sturdy.
We had a Wilko washing line and it turned out to be a Brabantia one, selling for £50 and we paid £30.

This is ours but it also comes with a pretty pink or lemon cover I think?0 -
I bought mine years ago from Argos ...... I chose it because of its height - it was the tallest I could find on the high street.0

Sorry -- I have an aversion to ironing boards." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Anyone know where to get solid top ironing boards, I HATE those mesh type ones and thats all I seem able to find. Cheers.

I think that most boards will have some holes in them as the majority of people use steam irons and the clothes would get really wet if the steam couldn't escape.
The only solid ones I've seen are those really cheap mdf type ones but not sure if you can get them now?0 -
We got this one and its great
