1p Mobile use the EE network but have monthly rolling contracts rather than fixed 24 months. I switched to them earlier this year and performance has been excellent.

    I highly recommend them

I got my daughter moved off EE onto iD Mobile. 50GB data, unlimited mins/texts, EU Roaming and data rollover on a one month rolling contract - £7 a month with no price rises. Uses Vodafone/Three.

I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

It doesn't worry me either, but there's always that one person….

    Move along, nothing to see.

Indeed, 1p and EE direct sims are equivalent performance wise.

Overall performance - it's 5G connections all round here. In use performance...

Three's network is noticeably groaning under the strain of handling Vodafone customers (on shared masts) so it's maybe just as well Vodafone have done some cursory upgrades of their own.

EE was clearly overwhelmed when they activated 5G as people turned off 4G only in settings, and there were texts around weekly advising 'to keep your network fast and reliable we'll be doing (x) in your area for (y) days'. These texts have slowed down thankfully, still happening though.

O2 actually performs rather well when all masts are running properly. When they aren't, as is currently the case with a local mast which has been faulty for months and months and will remain so for the foreseeable (you wouldn't believe the reason why), the network is a mess.

I have been with ID Mobile for years, and they use the 3 Network. I've always found them good for price i.e. if I remember correctly I was paying £13/month for unlimited calls and 12GB data.

That doesn't sound too great price wise. I'm no longer on the Lebara discount deal but still pay £6.90 a month for unlimited calls, SMS and 12Gb data plus included EU roaming. Discount deals are available for new customers to get it even cheaper.

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
